Make your first partial submission on Devpost to be considered for judging. You can still edit after.
No late submissions will be accepted. Submit early, edit often.
Pick one main track when you submit on Devpost, then select any special awards your project also fits. Special awards are judged separately, so you can win both.
Best agentic AI project built at JacHacks SF
Best fintech project, or best project overall in the open track
Innovation with the most significant societal impact
The team that hammers hardest on Jac, the most impressive use of the language
Best defense related product wins. Must use Jac.
Prize amounts and additional sponsor tracks will be finalized before the event. Watch Discord for updates.
Submissions happen on Devpost. First partial submission at 5:50 PM, final at 7:15 PM sharp.
Judging happens in person after submissions close. You'll give a short live demo to a panel of judges. The detailed rubric will be shared on Discord, but broadly:
To be eligible for prizes, your team and project must follow all of the below.
All members of your team must have registered and checked in to JacHacks SF.
At least one member of your team must be present to demo your project to judges.
All hacking and building must take place during hacking hours (10:45 AM – 7:15 PM). Brainstorming beforehand is allowed and encouraged, but all coding must happen during the event. We WILL check your GitHub repo.
Your team cannot have more than 4 people.
You cannot have more than 1 project.
Submit your project on Devpost before the deadline. Late submissions are not eligible for prizes.
Must build a working software project using Jac, the AI-native programming language from the Jaseci ecosystem. Your project must meaningfully use Jac, with at least 40% of your code in Jac. Explore Jac at jaclang.org →
Highly encourage to host your web app / product through Jac Hammer so that judges can easily view your submissions (use “sandbox” to host for free). Host at jachammer.ai →
Be kind, be respectful, and build in good faith. Misrepresenting what your project actually does is grounds for disqualification.
Everything you need to go from zero to shipping in Jac. Bookmark these before you start building.
Founders, Inc. sits right on the San Francisco Bay between Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. Look for the JacHacks signage when you arrive.
The 28, 30, 43, 47, and 49 lines all stop within a short walk of Fort Mason.
Take BART into downtown SF, then transfer to a Muni bus or grab a ~15-minute rideshare.
Fort Mason has an on-site paid parking lot. Street parking in the Marina is limited, so budget extra time.
Drop pin: "Founders Inc" or "Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd." Both work.
A short-timeframe building event. To "hack" means to create. Meet fellow builders, learn new tools, and ship a project in a single day with free food, swag, workshops, mentorship, and prizes along the way.
Excellent! You'll find yourself right at home. Total beginners, students, professionals, and founders are all welcome.
No programming experience is necessary. Workshops and mentors will help you throughout the day, including a Jac intro workshop that takes you from zero to shipping.
Nope. Come solo and we'll help you find a group at team formation. Teams max out at 4 people.
JacHacks SF 2026 is judged by the following panel. We're grateful to every one of them for supporting the event and giving their time to review projects.
